Will bodywork help post surgery?
Yes! Dogs greatly benefit from post surgery bodywork as massage helps increase circulation and facilitates healing. Massage can also aid preventing scar tissue and maintaining range of motion. Please be advised that bodywork does not substitute for veterinary care and veterinary clearance will be required for your appointment post surgery.
Can bodywork help my senior dog?
Absolutely, bodywork can help senior dogs maintain supple musculature and maintain range of motion.
Can my puppy receive bodywork?
Yes! Puppies are encouraged to receive sessions to expose them to the touch. Sessions can teach them patience and expose them to the bodywork environment.
Initial Assessment
Your first visit will include a static and dynamic assessment. Livia will thoroughly assess the conformation and movement of your dog and will determine the key areas of concern. A plan is created to support your dog's needs going forward. This visit also includes a full bodywork session which can include any of the following modalities: soft tissue mobilization, massage, myofascial release, acupressure, aromatherapy and stretching.
Follow Up Sessions
Follow up sessions include a full bodywork session with any applicable modalities as per your dog’s needs. Follow up care including exercises, stretches and additional tips will be provided with each session.

Please download our Initial Intake Form and Canine Waiver, fill out and return to us prior to your first appointment. We will send a reminder for your appointment in advance.
Please have your dog clean and dry in order to be prepared for their session. We prefer to work with your dog in a quiet, comfortable space so your dog can benefit as much as possible from their session. We are more than happy to accommodate home visits for dogs in order to ensure a safe space.
